Find Some Answers to the Most Common Questions Regarding Tux Rentals

Here at J. Patrick's, our experience with formal wear rentals in general and weddings, in particular, have taught us a thing or two about what you can expect. Read our FAQs and then give us a call or visit our store at 2520 13th St.

1. Do I need an appointment to book a wedding?

Appointments are recommended but not mandatory. Because we get busy at times - especially during the wedding planning season, for instance - having an appointment ensures we'll have a staff member ready to help you.

2. How early should I book my wedding?

Usually the sooner the better. In general, booking 4 to 12 months before the event is the best way to go because it allows us the time needed to gather measurements and order any needed pieces.

3. When do the guys in my wedding need to get their measurements to you?

Excluding the ring bearer, your wedding party should get the measurements to us two months before the event. Because the ring bearer is still growing, wait until a month before the wedding to take his measurements and get them to us.

4. Do the guys in my wedding need to be measured at J. Patrick's?

It would be unreasonable of us to demand that anyone drive a long distance just to get measured. However, it is important that your wedding party members who cannot get to our store get their measurements taken at another tuxedo rental establishment. They also should try on a tuxedo similar to the style they'll be wearing at your event.

5. Can you match David's Bridal colors?

Easily. We keep our vest and tie lines up-to-date so we can always find the perfect match.

6. When can I come pick up my tux?

Your tuxedo will be available two days before the wedding. For instance, if your event is on Saturday, your tux will be available on Thursday.

7. Do I have to try on my tux when I pick it up?

It's a good idea to try it on. We've found that nearly 50% of measurements taken out of town lead to the need for some adjustments. When you try the tux on in our store, our staff can make any adjustments without requiring an extra trip on your part.
